What we do.

We fund educational grants, programs, and equipment for West Irondequoit schools that can't be supported by the District's annual budget.

Congratulations to the Big Stacks team on winning our Cornhole Tournament on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023 at Irondequoit Sports Center, the perfect venue for our fourth annual event! Thank you to all 32 teams and to all sponsors, led by major sponsor for a fourth time, Diamond Packaging (owner Karla Fichter), the ISC facility (owner Greg Genrich), beverage sponsor Rising Storm Brewing Co. (good luck with your new location on Blossom Road in Penfield!) and food sponsor, Chick-fil-A of Irondequoit! Two other key sponsors were Wellington Steele & Associates and Wegmans! See all of our generous sponsors at right. Big Stacks took home $750 prize for first place after beating JD Associates 21-5 in the championship of the “Sweet 16” bracket! JD earned $125. "Just Dirty" topped Hightower for the $125 prize in the lower bracket or “Sour 16.” For the first time, after our four-game round robin, the teams were split into two divisions, the top 16 (Sweet 16) and bottom 16 (Sour 16). So all teams played at least five times. Our projected earnings for this year are $15,000, bringing the four-year total to approximately $57,000! Thank you!

OUR IMPACT

READ MORE ON OUR GRANTS!

The Foundation has granted more than $1 million to West Irondequoit Central School District in grants initiated by teachers and staff for programs, supplies, equipment and programs!

"We are extremely thankful for the foundation grant you awarded us for our new garden club at Iroquois. We began this spring with building funds and donations from local businesses, and our students had a great time.! We had over 40 students participate in our gardening club, and they enjoyed learning about different plants and planting all around our school. "
