DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Thursday, November 16, 2023
“B” Day
Today’s lunch: Stir-fry chicken
w/fried rice & fortune cookie, vegetable eggroll, raw veggie sticks, diced
peaches & fresh fruit.
Gobble, gobble, freshmen! Let's
talk turkey! ... turkey hunting, that is. The annual freshman turkey hunt is
TODAY. Look around! Small paper turkeys will be hiding around the school when
you come in this morning. There is ONE prize per freshman with a turkey. If you
hunt down more than one bird, you are taking someone else's shot at a prize.
Meet us in the Commons after school to trade your turkey for a prize.
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors: please help out Link Crew by leaving the
turkeys for the ninth graders. Thank you! Gobble-out.
TOMORROW is the last day to
donate to Amnesty International’s fundraiser for Rochester Refugee Resettlement
Services in all Social Studies classrooms. They are collecting all forms of
cash in plastic jugs to donate to our local Refugee Resettlement Services who
help with the assimilation of refugees into our society. The refugee services
aid the families & help them strive to be self-sustaining neighbors, while
still maintaining their own cultural heritage. If every member of IHS were to
contribute a small amount, we could all make a BIG difference.
Art Club will be meeting TODAY
from 3:10 pm to 4:00 pm in Ms. Jacobs’ room (#1150). We will use a random book
page as a visual inspiration for an original image.
Attention IHS! Class 2026 is
going to be having a DoubleGood Popcorn sale, between November 20-24.
Sophomores--Use your parent's e-mail to set up your store on the DoubleGood
app. Details and event code will be available in Social Studies classes and on our
Schoology page. Sell popcorn when you see your family and friends during
Thanksgiving and expect to see the delivery just in time for the holidays. The
point of the fundraiser is to raise money for prom next year. So, let’s make
this the best sale IHS has ever seen! Whomever sells the most will get a gift
card as a prize! So, get ready to sell, sell, sell!
Attention all elevator pass
holders: Please turn in your elevator passes to the Health Office no later than
Tuesday, November 21 so that they may be inventoried by Mrs. Bradshaw.
Covid test kits are available
in the Main Office. PLEASE only take one box.
