The mission of the West Irondequoit Central School District English Department is to ignite a passion and desire for lifelong reading and writing by creating a welcoming and safe space for students to think critically and globally about themselves and the literature they read. Within this space, we will maintain high expectations for all students as we develop a collaborative community of learners who challenge ideas, problem-solve, and engage in discourse.
