VISIT US / PROGRAMS

Our trails are open to individuals and families year-round from dawn to dusk. To preserve the wildlife at the Nature Center, pets are not allowed on our trails.  Use this trail guide to help plan an enjoyable and environmentally conscious visit:

We ask that all groups make arrangements prior to visiting by calling 336-3035 or emailing the appropriate staff-person; reviewing our "Program Guide for Educators"  beforehand will help us together plan the best program possible for your group:

    On-site

Our trained environmental educators lead both half-day (~1.5 hours) and full-day (~4.0 hours) school programs focused on a number of standards-based environmental topics on-site at our Center. As one of the few educational facilities in Monroe County that does maple sugaring in March and snowshoeing in the snowy months, those programs are particularly popular. See "Program Guide for Educators" for details, specific pricing, and reservation information.

Please be advised that, due to limited indoor space and staff, the nature center cannot accommodate more than 50 students per program session.

    Outreach

We also offer outreach programs to bring curriculum-based science lessons into school classrooms; see "Program Guide for Educators" for details, specific pricing, and reservation information.
