The West Irondequoit Board of Education accepted the resignation of Ms. Courtney Shouse at Thursday’s regularly scheduled board meeting. She was in her second year of a three-year term.

"I'm grateful for all the contributions Ms. Shouse has made throughout her tenure on the governance team,” said Dr. Aaron Johnson, Superintendent of Schools. “Her conviction to ensure every student experienced a comprehensive and equitable education was inspiring."

Said Board President, Mr. Matthew Metras: “I want to thank Ms. Shouse for her service to the district, both in her time on the board and in her work prior to board service. She inspired us to challenge our thinking on many issues and West Irondequoit is in a better place because of it.”

Our Board of Education is developing its succession plan. Once finalized, we will share it with the community.
